Casina Bric, which in Piedmontese dialect means “Cascina Bricco”, is a reality of the Langhe located in Vergne, a hamlet of Barolo, where the winery rises to the highest altitude of the area, 460 meters asl Gianluca Viberti, winemaker and sensitive winemaker passionate with a long experience in the restaurant and in the family business, he founded Casina Bric in 2010, giving life to a project that has always had at heart: to create a place to respect nature in every aspect, recording as little as possible on it. It also makes extensive use of long macerations, even prolonged for up to 40 days, and a traditional practice called “vinegar splint”, which consists of completely immerging the cap of the marc in wine through wooden staves coming from the disassembly of barrels used.
