“The task of man is to understand the territory in which he lives, valuing the expressions and specific manifestations of the fruits of nature; from this point of view, in La Stoppa authentic wines are produced, of character and strongly linked to the territory.”

Solitary on the slopes of the Val di Trebbiola in the province of Piacenza, Stoppa has been operating for 100 years in the wine sector. “Macchiona” represents a perfect marriage between the spice of Bonarda and the fruit of Barbera. After 30 days of maceration, the Macchionna spends 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels, at least two years in the bottle, and recieves no filtration. Emilia Rosso IGT “Macchiona” of La Stoppa is a wine that satisfies even the most refined, fresh, very intense and sincere palates.
