Gattinara di Nervi is one of those wines able to stand out for the balance and cleanliness they are able to offer. It was founded in the Nervi winery, the oldest in the entire territory of Gattinara, founded by Luigi back in 1906, just where Monte Rosa manages to protect the vineyards from the cold northern winds and guarantees a good supply of spring and autumn breezes which are a essential ingredient for the perfect wholesomeness of the grapes. Here the soils have unique characteristics: the vines grow luxuriantly on volcanic porphyries rich in minerals that have a high content of clay, mixed with fine sand. And their Gattinara is the expression of all this: difficult to frame as a “base” product for the great elegance and minerality that is able to express.
