Nosiola in Anfora “Fontanasanta” Foradori IGT 2018


La Nosiola “Fontanasanta” by Foradori is an authentic reinterpretation of a vine, the Nosiola, too often forgotten and too little enhanced for its characteristics. Elisabetta Foradori, always careful to enhance the native vines of her beloved Trentino, has decided to undertake a project with Nosiola, inaugurating a few years ago the production in Fontanasanta. The production philosophy is that typical of Elisabetta and involves a maceration in amphora for 8 months and a subsequent aging in barrels of acacia and oak. The ancient Trentino variety of Nosiola grows on poor soils but manages to create wines of great delicacy and longevity. La Nosiola “Fontanasanta” is in fact a white wine that requires patience and time, which requires an evolution in the bottle and more typical devices of red wines, such as a long aeration and a temperature of not less than 15 degrees.
