Description

A fundamental name in the movement of Italian natural wine, that of Stanko Radikon is a unique path that goes through most of the recent history of the Collio. In Oslavia, not far from Gorizia, everything changes in what has been, and continues to be, a sort of great laboratory dedicated to the varieties of the area and their methods of winemaking.

Starting in 1995, Stanko began using large conical-shaped vats to carry out long macerations of white grapes, a technique used by farmers of the past to produce wines that could resist oxidation. The wines of Stanko, often known as “orange wines”, are children of a radical approach both in the vineyard and in the cellar. First, spontaneous fermentation, no technicality and no addition of sulfur dioxide, even in bottling. Then, years and years of aging in a cask and as many years of aging in glass needed to make its wines unique in their kind.

Triple A

“A” for Agricoltori (Farmers) – only those who cultivate the right vineyard can establish a relationship between man and vine and get healthy and ripe grapes exclusively with natural agronomic interventions

“A” for Artigiani (Artisans) – we need “craftsman” methods and skills to implement a winemaking process that does not change the original structure of the grapes

“A” for Artisti (Artists) – only the “artistic” sensibility of a producer, respectful of his work and his ideas, can give life to a great wine where the characters of the territory and of the vine are found
