Rosso di Valtellina comes from vineyards 200-400 meters above sea level in the Chiuro area in the province of Sondrio with both south and southeast exposure. The harvest of the grapes is selective and manual. The fermentation of the Rosso di Valtellina DOC of the Cantine Balgera is spontaneous with only the indigenous yeasts and the maturation takes place in barrels for 8 months and in the bottle for about 6 months.
