Looking for an authentic wine tasting in Florence?
At Vino al Vino, we offer a guided tasting focused on small family-run wineries, organic farming, artisanal production, and low-intervention winemaking.
Our goal is to introduce guests to the true character of Tuscany through carefully selected wines that reflect their terroir and the people who produce them.

The tasting begins with a sparkling wine, typically either a bottle-fermented Prosecco from Valdobbiadene or a traditional-method Franciacorta. This first glass introduces guests to two of Italy’s most respected sparkling wine styles, showcasing freshness, elegance, and fine bubbles.

The second wine is usually a local Tuscan white, most often Vernaccia di San Gimignano or Vermentino. These wines are known for their freshness, minerality, and Mediterranean character, offering a perfect introduction to the region’s white wine heritage.

The third glass is typically an orange wine. Unlike conventional white wines, orange wines are produced by fermenting white grapes with prolonged skin contact, creating deeper color, texture, and complexity. In Tuscany, this style is often made from Trebbiano grapes, revealing a distinctive and fascinating expression of one of the region’s oldest varieties.

Our fourth wine is generally a Chianti Classico selected from some of the denomination’s most suitable zones. We favor fresher and more elegant interpretations that highlight the purity of Sangiovese, with vibrant acidity, floral notes, red berry aromas, and exceptional drinkability.

The tasting concludes with Rosso di Montalcino, produced from 100% Sangiovese. The vineyards are often located in warmer areas with clay-rich soils, resulting in wines with greater structure, depth, and ripe fruit character while maintaining balance and elegance.
This wine tasting in Florence is designed for wine lovers who want to discover authentic producers, learn about Tuscan wine culture, and enjoy a relaxed, informative, and memorable experience.

If you want to turn your tasting into a real food and wine experience, you can add a Tuscan artisanal board of local cheeses and cured meats for €19. We only use small-scale producers from Tuscany: aged pecorino, finocchiona, raw milk cheese, and handmade salumi – the kind of quality you rarely find outside Italy.
And if you ask nicely, we might bring out some warm schiacciata or homemade taralli too.
One more thing that sets us apart: we also produce our own certified organic extra virgin olive oil in the Florentine hills. During the tasting, you’re welcome to try it on bread. It’s intense, peppery, and artisanal, just like our wines. Bottles are available for purchase, and yes, we ship those too.

Loved something you tasted? We offer worldwide shipping of all our wines. Whether you’re traveling light or just want to bring a bit of Italy home, we’ll pack and send your selection safely. We also ship olive oil and other local products, on request.

We’re not your average wine bar. Here’s what makes us different:
We’re a small spot and often fill up, so booking is recommended.
